Serves 4
1 package sourdough baguettes
2 to 3 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup black olives, chopped
1 small can diced green chilies
3 green onions, chopped
1 small can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Slice baguettes into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Combine all other ingredients and spread over bread. Place on cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese has melted.
